Ornament Finishing Class. The cost will be $10.00 per person. Bring any ornament you have stitched, square or round or both. We will go over the basics of putting them together. The class fee will cover, batting, forms, felt or backing fabrics. I suggest you bring craft scissors, floss for cording, ribbon if you choose, fabric glue, sewing thread, and standard stitching aids. Call to reserve your spot or if you have any questions.
Starting September 25, 20010 we will be having a class every Fourth Saturday of the month. Each class will be an Ornament Kit. Each kit includes easy Cross Stitch and specialty stitch flowers, and features A SECTION OF DRAWN THREAD OR HEMSTITCHING AND ONE PULLED THREAD STITCH around the inner border. Each kit includes clear Step-by-step instructions for you to learn the two techniques and all materials you need, including a beading needle for the beads!

The Three Sided Pulled stitch is also known as Lace Stitch, Turkish Stitch and Bermuda Faggotting and produces a beautiful lacy triangular pattern. Thea used it in her“Heirloom Birth Sampler”. To get the zig-zag effect of the Hemstitch, the bottom row is stitched in the usual manner. Skip the first thread of the top row, then continue the same stitching sequence as the bottom row! You can find this design in Thea’s sampler”Rose Arbour”.
